Duncan has been studying and teaching martial arts for over 40 years.

He studied Judo and Karate as a child and then moved on to Japanese Jiu Jitsu which he studied for 16 years and taught for 12.

He was the instructor at Exeter University Jiu Jitsu club until he moved to London in 1998.

Duncan began studying Tai Chi Chuan in 1991 and has had several great teachers with different focus and teaching different variants of Yang style Tai Chi.

Duncan moved to New York in 2007 and began studying with Sifu H Won Gim -  a 6th generation Yang family disciple.  He has continued that study as a private student of Sifu Gim for over 15 years and is now authorised to teach the classical yang family syllabus as the UK representative of Sifu Gim.

Our lineage is through the disciple lineage of Yang Shao Jung - eldest son of Yang Cheng Fu. We have a strict adherence to the principles and teach the medium frame tiger form and the complete yang style curriculum in the traditional way.
